The game makes you track missions on your own and decide what to do. The tutorials make you feel like you know what you’re doing and that’s a good thing. You’ll learn how to set up rods for float, spinning and bottom fishing, and how to adjust the resistance of the line and your reel speed. They do a fairly good job of explaining the basics with hand-on exercises that you need to master. The first few hours are full of tutorials that may or may not annoy you. There’s only one pair of pants, for example, though you can have them in three colors and that’s basically what you can do. Upon starting The Fisherman - Fishing Planet you create a character. I know this is open ended, but what kinds of tackle should I be taking there in order to make the most of my time? I'd like to try and stay for a few days to make some money back and level up, but usually my first trip to a location is a bust, and I'm saving up for a kayak and would rather not waste the money. ![]() I'm a level 20 angler looking to make my way to the Everglades for fishing here on FP for the first time.
